Basic Server Settings

You set up your server from the Server Settings page, no file editing needed. Open the Configuration dropdown menu and click Server Settings.

The General Info section

The settings most people want are grouped at the top under General Info:

  • Server Name: the name shown in the in-game server browser.
  • Join Password: leave blank for an open server, or set one to keep it private.
  • Admin Password: your in-game admin login (see the Admin Access guide).
  • Max Players: how many slots your server has.
  • Visible on Browser: list your server publicly, or keep it hidden.

Change what you want, click Save, then Restart from the Console for it to take effect.

More sections when you need them

Server Settings is organized into categories, so deeper tuning is all there too, no config files required: Mission Scenario (your active scenario and rotation), Rules & Mechanics (BattlEye, first-person only, require mods), Distances & Limits (view distance, AI limit, join queue), Voice (VON), Operating & Debug, and Advanced & Persistence.

Every change is saved through the panel, so if a setting ever causes a problem you can roll back using the config version history.

Not sure which setting does what? Open a ticket and tell us what you're trying to change.
