Frequently Asked Questions
When you order, you get a reserved block of CPU, RAM, and disk: your HXS Game Cloud pool. From there you spin up as many game servers as you want inside that pool using Caelum, our custom control panel. Allocate resources per game however you like, resize or delete servers on the fly, and deploy a new game without opening a ticket. You own the resources; you decide how to use them.
As many as your pool resources allow. There's no per-server fee. If your pool has 16 GB of RAM you could run eight 2 GB servers, one 16 GB server, or anything in between. You can also mix games: Project Zomboid, DayZ, and Minecraft all running simultaneously from a single pool.

Every server gets 2 built-in file backups at no extra cost. Most plans also include manual snapshot slots, which are full world archives stored in the cloud that you trigger on demand before a risky update or game switch. Automated GFS snapshots with daily, weekly, and monthly retention are an optional paid add-on. All backup and snapshot management is self-service in Caelum.
That is exactly what the load caps are for, and they are the real difference between the tiers. A Premium node is closed to new orders once it averages 50% load; a Value node runs to 70%. Either way an 80% spike closes it too, and we reevaluate later. So Premium simply has fewer servers sharing the box and more of it left spare. Your own server is never throttled on either tier.
Yes, at no extra cost. Every service sits behind 100 Gbps of upstream mitigation that activates automatically when a flood is detected, and stays out of the path the rest of the time so nothing is slowed down in normal play. That included filtering is generic. Advanced DDoS Protection routes your whole pool through our scrub center full time and applies filters matched to each game's ports, and is available as a paid upgrade.
Self-service. Go to Client Area > Services > your service > Upgrade/Downgrade and pick a new tier. Your pool limits update immediately with no downtime. If you need to move to a different region, open a support ticket and we will handle the migration.
