Troubleshooting Common Reforger Issues
Quick fixes for the problems we see most often. If none of these solve it, open a ticket with your Console output.
Server won't start after a settings change
An invalid value can stop the server. Open Server Settings and fix the field, or use the config version history to restore the last working version, then Restart. (If you hand-edited config.json in Files, a missing comma or quote will do this too, version history restores it either way.)
The Players tab shows an error (500)
This is an RCON problem, almost always one of two things: an invalid RCON Password (must be letters and numbers, 8+ characters, set in Server Settings under Network & RCON Access), or a wrong RCON port pasted in from another server's config.json. See the RCON guide, fix it, and Restart.
My mods aren't loading
Make sure you Restarted after installing. Check the Installed sub-tab on the Arma Mods page to confirm the mod is actually on the list. If the console shows an error naming a mod, remove that mod, it may be broken or incompatible with the current game version.
Console players can't join
In Server Settings, confirm Allow Cross-Platform is turned on, and that none of your mods are PC-only. A single PC-only mod makes the whole server invisible to console players.
Not sure what a setting does
Every setting on the Server Settings page has a short description under it. If you're still unsure, or a change did something unexpected, use the config version history to roll back and open a ticket.
